When will I quit?

I’m often asked, especially by my family, “When are you going to give up? … When are you going to stop bothering people about building a machine to protect earth?”

Two of my favorite parables in the Bible about being persistent enough that people decide it’s easier to help you than ignore you:

• “Yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won’t eventually wear me out with her coming!”’ Luke 18: 1-8

• “I tell you, although he will not rise and give it to him because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence, he will get up and give him as many as he needs.” Luke 11: 5-13
