WE ARE FIGHTING ENTROPY WITH THE WRONG TOOLS (10^20 TIMES WRONG).

This paper makes a claim that will strike many as radical:

THE MARGINAL COST OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION IS CONVERGING TOWARD ZERO.

This is not policy advocacy. It is not technological optimism. It is the inevitable consequence of two physical laws colliding:

1.???INFORMATION is falling toward the Landauer Limit (10^-21 J/bit).

2.???ENERGY is transitioning to Nuclear Density (4 million x density gain).

THE MATH OF THE SHIFT:

Right now, we use chemistry (BONDS) to clean up pollution after it happens. In the future, we will use intelligence (BITS) to prevent it before it happens.

The leverage ratio between a Bit and a Bond is 100 QUINTILLION TO 1 (10^20).

We are moving from the era of “Cleanup” to the era of “Immunity.”

For 50 years, we have been Sisyphus, pushing the boulder up the hill. We thought the goal was to push forever.

We were wrong.
