Unified Theory" . . . and environmental protection
Gravity is easy. Consciousness is hard.
---“Gravity is easy. Consciousness is hard.”- Jed Anderson, EnviroAI

---“A unified theory of nature that doesn’t include consciousness will fall short of a truly unified theory.” - Jed Anderson, EnviroAI

Einstein, Hawking---many have pursued it …

UNIFIED
THEORY
OF
NATURE
“A Theory of Everything … including Consciousness”
A unified field theory of general relativity and quantum mechanics is important to more fully understand the environment, but protecting the environment requires us to also understand something that may or may not be entirely physical---consciousness. Understanding a tree is important. Understanding a human understanding a tree is important.
Significant strides have occurred recently in our understanding of consciousness (example)---even research into whether consciousness is uniquely a human feature: MIT article). But we have a long, long way to go. Eventually we will get there (recall that not too long ago we had no clue how your kids bear any physical resemblance to you).
How is consciousness shared amongst humans …
… and manifested in the environment?
Language. Language. Language.
It’s the reason I’m so fascinated and focused on Natural Language Processing (NLP) in machine-learning.
---“Language is a uniquely human part of the information of the universe.”- Jed Anderson, EnviroAI
Human wisdom.
Human consciousness.
---“Language helps convey the treasure of human consciousness.” - Jed Anderson, EnviroAI

---“The environment is running code. The code creates a beautiful reality (and of course I believe this reality is ‘real’). A key to better connecting our human consciousness with the running of this code is to try to keep the data (or breakdown the data) into the same fundamental data language so we can better see the interconnections, relationships, and allow for better data transference.”
- Jed Anderson, EnviroAI

---“Nature isn’t classical dammit. And if you want to make a simulation of nature, you’d better make it quantum mechanical.”
- Richard Feynman

Can we create a system where we will no longer need to “dodge environmental bullets”?
YES WE CAN.
