Esteem for Environmental Staff
Companies should view their environmental departments more as “profit-centers”—or integral parts of operations. My experience over the last 20 years as an environmental attorney is that most companies place environmental on the cost rather than the profit side of the ledger. Because of this difference, many environmental departments do not get the technology and resources they need to increase profits for the company.
It’s time to begin viewing environmental departments for what they truly can be … “profit centers”.
